12th May (Thurs) 7:30 at the Hall - Membership meeting to discuss the future of St John's Players.  Directors with plays they would like to do in 2012 and afterwards, will be most welcome.

Unfortunately we will be dark for June this year, due to lack of directors and cast which are involved in productions with other groups.

 

7th July (Thurs) 7:30 at the Hall - 

Read through of two new one act plays written by SJP members.  "Mountain Heir" by Paul Gait and "Cruising" by Pip Barber.  Everyone will be welcome to read parts.

 

28th July (Thurs) 7:30 at the Hall - Auditions for the Autumn production. 

Alan Ayckborn's "Bedroom Farce",

to run 8th - 12th November.  An hysterically funny comedy which will have everyone rolling in the aisles.

 

29th August Bank Holiday Mon -

 Treasure Hunt.

 

The March 2012 production will be "Crown Matrimonial" by Royce Ryton, in honour of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee.

Front of House staff needed:-

If acting is not for you, there are still plenty of other jobs that need to be done which are just as important to the productions.  For instance,   front of house duties such as welcoming the members of the audience and showing them to their seats, programme sales as well as helping with the bar and refreshments. 

Please don't be afraid to offer to help, just contact a committee member, don't wait to be asked.

And don't forget that the St John's Players team also needs members to be involved behind the scenes with props, costumes, set building, lighting, sound and other technical aspects of the productions, have you got any of these skills you can offer?
