Past events:-

Treasure Hunt  - August 2009

A leisurely perambulation on bank holiday Sunday around the historic town of Winchcombe, following a trail of clues, culminating with food & drink at the Royal Oak, Gretton. The clues and course were not arduous, so everyone could participate, the winning team (Cathy, Peter, Joe & Katie) now have the task of organising the next treasure hunt in 2010.

Murder Mystery evening - July 2009

Organised by Cathy Dean & Joe Hackett,

the feuding of the Churchdown gangsters united at a wedding reception! Mayhem & murder prevailed!

Proceeds from the event were donated to the Headway Charity.

Together Forever - June 2009

a radio play written by local author Paul Gait, about the Union pit disaster in the Forest of Dean in 1902. Directed by Pam Stock, ten members of the St John's Players read the script to an enraptured audience. A very good evening's was had by all which has been recorded by Karen Grainger, our technical whizz kid; copies are available for sale.

Christmas evening - 2008

This also went very well, we carolled, we ate, and we enjoyed the party pieces performed by several of our members, including the re-enactment of an episode of "Round the Horne". The proceeds from the collection & raffle were given to the local Alzheimer's Society.
