have been active in Churchdown since 1966, putting on a mix of comedies, dramas, whodunnits and thrillers. We have won awards for our acting prowess, as well as stage set design & construction. We pride ourselves on our reputation for producing good quality shows for our audiences.

Fri 8th March we finally after 17 years had a skittles rematch with another local drama group The Curtain Callers (Formally St Andrews Dramatic society). Sadly we had to hand the winners trophy over to them. Hopefully we wont take as long to have another rematch.

Our May 2024 production of Le Grand return has been successfully cast. The rehearsals started on Thursday 29th February.

Get involved!

We are always looking for new members aged 16 or over to join us. If you would like to be involved in any aspect of Amateur Theatre whether it is acting, backstage roles, set building or just helping front of house, then we would like to hear from you.

Our productions are for 5 nights and always start on the second Tuesday of May and on the second Tuesday of November, running through to the Saturday.

Rehearsals usually take place on a Thursday with some Monday evenings depending on the number of rehearsals required. A rehearsal schedule will be issued specifically for each show.

Alternatively, if you’re not looking to be involved in productions but would still like to support the society, you can become an associate member and benefit from the society newsletter, social events and priority booking for each production.
